Tangi Alert - This is an emergency notification program will provide residents with alerts about any hazardous event. Messages will be sent to residents on their preferred contact paths - cell phone, SMS, home phone, email, fax, pager and more - to ensure real-time access to potentially lifesaving information.

Tangipahoa Emergency Preparedness - The Tangipahoa Parish Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness (TPOHSEP) is the coordinating agency for emergency and disaster activities.

While our Tangipahoa Parish Government offices are closed today, the Landfill is open until 4:30 p.m. On Saturday, Nov. 26, the landfill will be open from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. That means garbage collection will be possible today and tomorrow--contact your carrier for more info. All Tangipahoa Parish Government offices will resume regular hours on Monday, Nov. 28.

All Tangipahoa Parish Government offices will be closed this Thursday, Nov. 24, 2022, for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The Tangipahoa Parish Landfill will also be closed Thursday so our employees can spend time with their families. The Landfill will reopen on Friday, Nov. 25, from 6:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., and on Saturday, Nov. 26, from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. All Tangipahoa Parish Government offices will resume regular hours on Monday, Nov. 28. On behalf of our entire #TeamTangi family, we wish you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving!
