Overview:
WHAT: MARGINAL RISK of Severe Weather
WHEN: Mainly afternoon and evening Saturday
WHERE: All of SE LA and S MS.
CONFIDENCE: Moderate confidence that there will be thunderstorms across the area and that a few of these could become strong or severe.
IMPACTS: The main threats associated with any severe storms will be:

  • Damaging Winds: Wind gusts greater than 60 mph will be possible.
  • Large Hail: Large hail up to1 inch in diameter will be possible.
  • Rainfall: Rainfall rates of 2-4″ per hour are possible. This rainfall could lead to ponding of water in low lying areas and areas of poor drainage.
