Overview:

WHAT: MARGINAL and SLIGHT RISK of flooding rainfall, MARGINAL RISK of severe weather.

WHEN: Marginal risk of flooding rainfall today and tonight, Slight risk of flooding rainfall Wednesday into Thursday morning. Marginal risk of severe weather today into Thursday morning.

WHERE: Marginal risk of flooding rainfall all areas, Slight flooding risk all areas. Marginal severe risk northern half of the area.

CONFIDENCE: Moderate confidence in some locations receiving high rain rates up to 5″ per hour with the strongest thunderstorms. Low confidence in severe thunderstorms today and tonight, but moderate confidence in isolated severe Wed night into Thursday morning.

Impacts:

The main threats associated with Marginal and Slight risk of flooding rainfall today through Thursday morning:

  • Rainfall rates up to 5″ per hour could cause flooding over already saturated areas
  • Additional areawide rainfall totals of 3 to 5 inches with isolated higher amounts are expected through Thursday morning.

The main threats associated with any severe storms will be:

  • Wind gusts greater than 60 mph will be possible
  • Trees and powerlines could be damaged and lead to isolated/small scale power outages
  • Isolated tornadoes
