Traffic patterns along a portion of Club Deluxe Road in Hammond will be adjusted for the next three days as contractors begin installing subsurface drainage along one portion of the roadway.

After some weather-related delays, the Wardline Road construction project starts gearing up again starting Monday, Jan. 14, and Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller reminds motorists to use care in that area.

Miller said that as early as 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 14, intermittent lane closures can be expected as construction crews begin the next phase of work on Wardline Road.

While the road will not be closed during this period, heavy equipment will be on and off the road at different times, and Miller said that will likely result in minor traffic delays.

Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller announced an emergency road closure for Hill Street at its intersection with Louisiana Avenue in Roseland due to washed out culvert.

Miller said parish road crews are assisting town officials in making this critical repair.

Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said high waters caused by yesterday’s rain event damaged the roadbed of Dummyline Road, which is now closed approximately .8 of a mile south of Bracey Lane and .8 of a mile north of Mitchell Road.

The partial road closure is in effect until further notice, Miller said.

Long-awaited drainage improvements are coming to the Wardline Road area, but the construction phase, which begins Tuesday, will mean traffic delays for motorists in that area.

Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said the Wardline Road improvement project begins on Tuesday, Dec. 18 and will impact those areas between Randall Road and Rufus Bankston Road.
