Tangipahoa Government is Accepting Applications for the Position of Registrar of Voters

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Louisiana R.S. 18:51.1 that Tangipahoa Parish Government will be accepting applications for the position of Tangipahoa Parish Registrar of Voters until Friday, August 10, 2018 at 12:00PM noon. Applications may be submitted in person at 206 E. Mulberry Street, Amite, Louisiana, e-mailed to kpecararo@tangipahoa.org or faxed to 985-748-8994. Qualifications for the position may be found in Louisiana R.S. 18:52.

Restore Louisiana Homeowner Assistance Program Survey

Were you or someone you know affected by the 2016 floods? If so, you only have a few more weeks to complete the Restore Louisiana Homeowner Assistance Program survey.

Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller reminds residents that July 20, 2018, is the deadline to complete the Restore Louisiana Homeowner Assistance Program survey, which is the first step in requesting assistance from the program. 

Residents may complete the survey online at http://restore.la.gov/ or by calling 866-735-2001.

Substantial Damage Task Force

Tangipahoa Parish Government has established a task force to help identify properties that meet FEMA’s definition of substantially flood-damaged homes from the two floods of 2016.

Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said the Substantial Damage Task Force has been assigned to identify those properties that were overwhelmingly damaged in the 2016 floods. The task force, which is made up of parish employees, will travel the parish to verify inspections performed by FEMA and identify which properties have been mitigated post-flood.
