The National Institute of Nursing Research posted this notice that the American Nurses Association has designated the entire month of May as National Nurses Monthinstead of the normal one week designation. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, National Nurses Month brings to light just how vital nurses are to keeping us healthy and safe.

WEBINAR TODAY: The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Southeastern University is hosting a webinar for the Economic Injury Disaster Loan and Advance program (EIDL) for Agricultural businesses today, Wednesday, May 6 at 2pm.  The SBA will begin accepting new Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) and EIDL Advance applications on a limited basis only to provide relief to U.S. agricultural businesses.

Employee Retention Tax CreditThe Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act created a new employee retention tax credit for employers who are closed, partially closed, or experiencing significant revenue losses as a result of COVID-19. 

This new Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERTC) is a 50% tax credit for the first $10,000 of compensation, including the employer portion of health benefits, for each eligible employee.

Note: Employers who receive a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan are not eligible for the ERTC tax credit.
